What is the proudest moment of your life or most memorable day?Other than

the moment when I was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2012; I would say it would be the Korte Cocktailjurken day of my last Cross Country Run Competition in my school, last year, when I placed second. I've

always been an athlete/sprinter/sports representative at my school and it has always been something that I have been proud of. When I was 16 at an inter-school athletics meet, during my

100m race, both my knees gave in and I tore my meniscus. After months of physiotherapy and continuous injuries to both knees, I still had to have knee surgery. I had to learn and slowly

get my legs to bend and straighten again, I was out of sports for a long time and I missed my Trouwjurk Lange Mouw last international inter-school competition. From then on, especially in my last year of high

school as a senior, I felt that I wanted to 'leave on a high note' and remind everyone that being injured is not going to sideline me forever. I trained diligently and I won multiple

golds in my school sports day but it was the Cross Country Race (that I hadn't gotten placed since I was 14years old) that I had my eye on. It was the pride of knowing that my hard work

paid off, and that I still had it in me.

Describe your childhood/growing years. I was always active and I did

it all! Haha! :) I did ballet, piano, karate, drums, sports, tap modern dance and a lot of other things that kept me busy as a child. I was also an only child so partaking in all

these activities helped me make friends and stay entertained; it also made me value my friendships a lot more which is why my 3 best girlfriends are like my sisters and we've known each

other since we were kids! I was also a tomboy growing up and my mum would never be surprised at me coming home with a new bruise or scratch on my knees! Getting me into a party dress if

it wasn't an occasion was difficult as well. Hard to believe it, eh? :)

If I showed you around my hometown (island) of Penang, I would buy

us a ticket on a public Rapid Bus and go through all the stops which go from one end of the Island to the other. We would get off on the stops, visit Georgetown and walk along the

Heritage stretch of shop lots, eat all the best local hawker food that are tucked away in between roadside alleys. We would go to Batu Ferringhi and walk the night market along the beach,

then go down to Balik Pulau to feast on Durians (yummy!) and then end the day on Penang Hill, because up on the hill you can see the city of Penang, all it's lights which Penang bridge as

a background and the open night sky surrounding you. I would take you up there because it's one of the most beautiful views I've seen that makes of an easy escape from the hustle of
